SSP and CNA Present the Shrimp Nutrition Guide in Quito
On April 22, in Quito —the capital of the world’s leading shrimp producer and exporter country—, the Sustainable Shrimp Partnership (SSP) and the Cámara Nacional de Acuacultura officially launched the Shrimp Nutrition Guide, a project developed in collaboration with the Seafood Nutrition Partnership .
This guide was specially created to help registered dietitians and health professionals educate their clients about the benefits of including shrimp in their daily diets. It’s a true toolbox, offering recommendations on consumption, purchasing tips, healthy preparation ideas, easy and nutritious recipes, as well as fun facts and myth-busting content about shrimp.
During the launch event, we were honored to welcome nutrition experts, renowned national and international chefs, and representatives from the culinary, academic, and food industries. We also had the privilege of hosting ambassadors and diplomatic delegations from the world’s major shrimp markets, highlighting the global relevance of our shrimp.
